Brandon High Basketball Player Dies

Brandon, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Another Bay Area athlete has died after a hard workout.  This time a Brandon High School basketball player has passed away after collapsing during drills at the school.

Eighteen year-old Milo Meeks died at Brandon Regional Hospital.  Family, friends, fellow and former coaches and players had gathered at the hospital to show support.

No exact cause of death yet, but Meeks had apparently had symptoms of asthma from time to time.  Meeks was 6-foot-2 and weighed in at 170 pounds.

Meeks had transferred from Armwood High school this year to Brandon.  Meeks played forward on the basketball team.
