BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Dozens of roads have been shut down because of severe flooding in Hernando and Pasco Counties.
Strong thunderstorms this week caused many areas to overflow, turning streets into rivers.
Forcasters say a low pressure system in the central Gulf of Mexico is pulling tropical moisture up from the Caribbean, bringing lots of rain to Florida.
We should have drier weather next week, but the high rain chances should remain over the weekend. There's also a river flood warning in place for the Bay Area.
