TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA.com) - A dog that injured two people at RobinsonHigh School in south Tampa on Thursday morning has been euthanized.
The dog's owner, Vicente Jaimes, surrendered ownership of the pit bull mix to Hillsborough County Animal Safety and Enforcement late Thursday. Following an investigation, officials made the decision to have the dog euthanized due to the nature of the incident and the severity of the dog's injuries.
The dog was shot after charging at a police officer at the scene.
