FHP: I-4 back open after vehicle fire closed lanes near Seffner

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) The Florida Highway Patrol says all lanes of I-4 are back open as of 11:30 am. This after the EB lanes had to be shut down at MM9 and one WB lane blocked at Seffner for a truck fire.

EB traffic had to be diverted at 579 and at one point, it was backed up all the way to Hillsborough Avenue.

FHP said the tanker truck from Tennessee had an engine failure which resulted in the fire. Officials said the driver steered the truck to the side, got out, and was not injured.
