TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - It won’t be long until a new attraction is unveiled at Busch Gardens.
Park officials gave us an inside look at the construction of its newest land called Pantopia, which will be the home of North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower – Falcon’s Fury.
At 335 feet tall, the tower – like its namesake – will point in a face-down dive position. Then, in an instant, riders will plunge 60 miles per hour straight down and shift positions again, sitting upright before it comes to a stop. Park leaders said it will feel similar to skydiving.
Pantopia is being built in the area currently known as Timbuktu. It will feature a new look inspired by world travelers with restaurants, entertainment, shopping, theater, along with the new ride.
If you're a fan of some of the old attractions, you're in luck. Family favorites like the Scorpion, Phoenix, Bush Flyers, Desert Runners and the Kiddie Train will return.
Park officials said it will all be unveiled Spring of 2014.
