TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - It won’t be long until a new attraction is unveiled at Busch Gardens.
Park officials gave us an inside look at the construction of its newest land called Pantopia, featuring what will be the home of North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower – Falcon’s Fury.
At 335 feet tall, the tower – like its namesake – will point in a face-down dive position. Then in an instant, riders will plunge 60 miles per hour straight down and shift positions again sitting upright before it comes to a stop. Park leaders said it will feel similar to skydiving.
The area is currently known as Timbuktu. Inspired by world travelers, the new land will host new food options, entertainment, shopping, a renovated theater, along with the new ride.
Don’t worry fans, family favorites like the Scorpion, Phoenix, Bush Flyers, Desert Runners and the Kiddie Train will return.
Park officials said it will all be unveiled later this Spring.
