Notorious St. Pete landlord expected to plead guilty in federal court

ST PETERSBURG, Fla (News Channel 8)- If all goes as scheduled this morning, one of St. Petersburg's most notorious landlords will step into the federal courthouse in Tampa and plead guilty to falsifying records related to an EPA investigation of lead contamination at one of his many rental properties.

Michael Moshe Shimshoni could spend as much as 20 years in prison and faces up to a $250,000 fine for his crime, but federal prosecutors have already said they won't oppose sentence "at the low end of the applicable guideline range," according to plea documents filed with the court.
