BARTOW, Fla. (970 WFLA)- We've heard a number of stories of students fighting on school buses.
But this time, a Polk County school bus driver is accused of staging the fights.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says Patrice Sanders allowed the kids to slap and hit each other.
"What does the school bus driver do? Come on girl! Do ya stop the fight? No, you pull the bus over on the side of the road and let them fight some more," said Judd.
He says Sanders even drove to her house and let the kids fight it out in her front yard while other students videotaped it on their cellphones. Then, she loaded them back on the bus and took them to their bus stops.
Sanders is charged with child abuse, neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
