BLOOMINGDALE (970 WFLA) -- Hillsborough deputies are looking for the man who fatally stabbed a clerk at a 7-Eleven store in Hillsborough County.
Detective Larry McKinnon with the Hilsborough Sheriff's Office says a customer discovered the victim with several stab wounds, around 1:30 this morning, at the store, located at the corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road.
The suspect is described as a white man, wearing a blue hoodie. The victim is reported to be 54-year-old Kenneth Lee Redding of Gibsonton, who had worked at the store for a year and a half.
McKinnon says some items were taken, but it's not certain that robbery was the motive and detectives are treating the case as "wide open." They're asking anyone with information on the crime, to call the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.
