TAMPA Fla, (970 WFLA)- Tuesday is the day that the game changes completely when it comes to texting and driving.
Earlier this year the Florida Legislature passed a bill to ban the practice but it’s not a complete ban.
Texting is a secondary offense, which means you have to get pulled over for doing something else to get in trouble for texting. The first ticket will cost you $30, after that it's $60.
One of the more confusing portions of the new law is exactly when are you allowed to text in the car. The law states that you can still text while stopped at a red light or while you are stuck in traffic.
