Three suspects charged in series of pellet gun shootings

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) St. Pete Police said they received over a half dozen calls in a one hour period this morning of people saying they had been shot or shot at by suspects armed with a pellet gun driving a silver SUV.

Police said the calls started at 9:30 a.m.

Police said it happened at several different locations throughout the city.  At least 19 people were shot at with 12 actually shot in either the back or hands.  Luckily, there were no serious injuries.   

At 10:45 Thursday morning, St. Pete Police said officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of 9th Avenue North and 12th Street.

Police said there were four people in the car.  Three of them are facing felony charges.  Detectives said, when asked why they did it, the suspects said they thought it would be "funny".
